Alliance launches baby and toddler toolkit

The Early Years Alliance has launched a new toolkit to support both new and established baby and toddler groups and classes to deliver high-quality services to families and their local community.

The Early Adventures Baby and Toddler Toolkit includes a Best Practice Guide, which is underpinned by the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework, and includes information, advice and guidance on a wide range of topics including: insurance, financing, business structures, key legislation, food safety, health and safety, early development, activity ideas and how to engage with families.

Baby and toddler settings who purchase the Toolkit will also benefit from a virtual consultation with an Alliance baby and toddler expert. The one-hour-long reflective conversation will support settings to navigate through the guide, focusing on the essential elements of managing a successful baby and toddler group.

Groups that purchase the Toolkit will also be given access to a downloadable poster and website logo which can be used to highlight to families that the group’s practice is underpinned by the Best Practice Guide.

In addition to the Toolkit, the Alliance has also refreshed and expanded the baby and toddler section of the Alliance website which now includes a range of comprehensive advice and information ranging from starting their group, best practice guidance and practical activity ideas.

From June, the Alliance will be publishing its first quarterly baby and toddler newsletter packed full of information and advice to help providers run a safe and successful baby and toddler group.

The Toolkit is priced at £55 for Alliance members and £91 for non-members (this also includes one year of Alliance baby and toddler group membership). Additional information about the Toolkit and how to purchase can be found here
