A new publication from the Alliance offers a practical guide to the EYFS and associated guidance, as well as Ofsted registration and inspections. Insights into the EYFS is now available to members and non-members from the Alliance shop.

 

By taking readers through the various aspects of the EYFS as well as the non-statutory supporting documents, Insights into the EYFS aims to outline key elements of the framework to support both new and experienced practitioners. The publication focuses on the overarching principles of the EYFS and simplifies terminology, such as ‘school readiness’. It aims to explain the EYFS in a clear and accessible format.

 

Michael Freeston, quality improvement director at the Alliance, said: “The EYFS is the go to guide to inform all practitioners on delivering high quality childcare services. Although there are certain areas of uncertainty that practitioners have raised with us that we’ve aimed to cover with this new publication.�
